Hyundai Ranks High With J.D. Power and Associates

Video 22 00m 12sThis week J.D Power and Associates released their Initial Quality Study and Hyundai ranked the highest of non-premium brands and ranked fourth overall among all brands. Hyundai came in fourth place after Lexus, Cadillac and Porsche. The Initial Quality Survey is based on information about the quality of the vehicle after 90 days of ownership and this includes both Hyundai owners and lessees. “Outperforming all of our competitors once again is a reflection of the dedication of all Hyundai team members,” said Hyundai’s CEO John Krafcik. This year there has been a decline in car sales and some automakers took a bigger hit then others. Hannah Elliott’s article Year of the Hyundai, states, “With the American auto industry in shambles, Hyundai has stood out as one of the few automakers to remain stable as of late.” Hyundai can attribute their stability to a few different reasons. Hyundai is dedicated to providing consumer’s reliability and quality at an affordable price. There was also the introduction of Hyundai Assurance which allows you to turn you vehicle back into Key Hyundai of Manchester or Key Hyundai of Milford if you loose your job within 12 months of purchasing your Hyundai. If you purchase a Hyundai you also receive America’s best warranty which provides a ten year/ 100,000 mile power train warranty. Hyundai’s Certified Pre-Owned Program Ranks High

Video 21 00m 01sKey Hyundai of Manchester and Key Hyundai of Milford are proud to announce that recently Hyundai was ranked number three in the industry for best Certified Pre-Owned Program by Intellichoice. Being a highly respected automotive information source, Intellichoice started awarding best Certified Pre-Owned Programs to both luxury and non luxury car brands in 1999, according to their website. They base their awards on 8 different criteria.  These include brand value, vehicle history report, special financing, roadside assistance, compliance systems, warranty inspection list, and return and exchange provisions. “Hyundai’s certified Pre-Owned sales were up 58.5 percent in the first four months in an industry down 7.3 percent, evidence that our Certified Pre-Owned program is attracting consumers to our brand,” said Tracy Bowes, manager of assurance products, Hyundai Motor America. Increase Gas Mileage With Increasing Gas Prices

124_0213

For the second time this week I noticed that gas prices took another jump up about 20 cents per gallon. More often than I would like to, I find myself pondering when the gas prices will just retain some sort of stability. One night while listening to the news a story about the gas prices caught my attention and put my pondering to ease. The story was about President Barack Obama’s announcement to introduce cleaner and more fuel efficient cars. His plan would require all auto makers to build vehicles that average 35.5 mpg and vehicles carbon dioxide emissions be reduced by one third.  The target date for the President’s plan is to take place by the year 2016. Hyundai is an enthusiastic supporter of the plan and Hyundai President, John Krafcik said, “In September 2008, Hyundai was the first and only company to pledge to meet the new U.S standards early.”  Hyundai announced that they plan to have averaged 35 mpg by 2015 and will use different strategies to reach these goals.  These strategies include blue technologies which are “gasoline-electric hybrid-powered vehicles, gasoline-direct injection engines, high economy small displacement turbocharged power plants, more six-speed transmissions and an eight-speed transmission, improved aerodynamics, advanced materials and a whole host of other engineering advancements,” according to Hyundai’s website. There are ways to increase gas mileage now with just a few simple adjustments to everyday driving. These include keeping your vehicle well maintained, observing and following the speed limit, check that your gas cap is tight and using cruise control. At Key Hyundai of Manchester and Key Hyundai of Milford, we have over 20 2009 Elantras to choose from each getting 39 mpg.
