Asking the Right Questions

Parenting the QBQ WayYou know when you have that “a-ha” moment? I had one recently, when I discovered  the best book that teaches the most extraordinary way to ask the right questions – which is ideal for my work providing solutions at Key Hyundai.

But that’s now why I discovered the book.

I found John Miller’s incredible book, Parenting the QBQ Way, to help me parent my strong-willed daughter. But the techniques found here that stress personal accountability apply to far  more than parenting!

Here at Key Hyundai we do a lot of listening, and encourage people to ask questions. The QBQ way teaches how to ask the right questions to find the right solution.

Listen in to this quick example on how I applied the QBQ to my own family:

The question behind the question is usually the root of the solution and helps you get the answers you need. It worked for me, and I’d love to hear if it works for you! Write me at jillcares@keycars.com!

Leave Your Comfort Zone

Are you comfortable just doing the same old, same old, day in and day out? What would happen if you stretched out of that comfort zone?

As the Dealer For The People, I strive daily to instill leadership qualities with all Key Hyundai solution providers. And the one thing I stress over and over:  you must leave your comfort zone to become a strong leader.

Which got me thinking, am I doing this enough? Am I getting too comfortable in my daily routine?

So I did got uncomfortable – and fast!  I was terrified and exhilarated all at the same time. Me, the Dealer For The People, on top of a ropes course, scared to death:

But doing so put  me on such an incredible high: I felt on top of the world long after I reached the bottom of the mountain.

You needn’t attempt a ropes course to leave your comfort zone (but i highly recommend it!). Sometimes it’s as simple as walking to work. Or making that phone call you’ve been putting off. Or listening more than you talk. Or talking more than staying quiet.

Do it: leave your comfort zone and let me know how that works for you! Write me at jillcares@keycars.com and tell me what you’ve done  to leave your comfort zone!

The Difference Between AWD and Front Wheel Drive

“All wheel drive vehicle or front wheel drive vehicles” ... that is the question!

Like it or not, the weather is eventually going to turn on us New Englanders, and when it does, CT new and used car buyers at Key Hyundai always want to talk about winter driving.

People are often confused about the difference between all-wheel drive vehicles, and front-wheel drive vehicles: they want to know what they need and when they need it. So here it goes: I’ll share everything you need to know about the difference between AWD and FWD and then you can decide what makes sense for you:

If you’re interested in an AWD or FWD or any nicer, newer car, our solution providers at Key Hyundai are ready to find the answers you need. Stop by and talk to us, and be sure to find me and say hello!

Don’t forget! Key Hyundai sells hundreds of used cars every month and always need more. We want your trade! Stop by Key Hyundai of Milford or Key Hyundai of Manchester or give us a call at 1-800-450-1422 and we’ll talk about how you can drive away in a nicer, newer car before the snow falls!

Hyundai Elantra Wins IIHS Safety Award

www.keycars.comThe 2013 Hyundai Elantra was selected for the 2013 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Award!

This is kind of a big deal, not just for Hyundai, but for CT car buyers looking for a great, affordable, good-on-gas car that just happens to be one of the safest cars around.

All this safety, all at a great value. No wonder the Elantra is our top seller at Key Hyundai.

Hi, it’s Jill Merriam, and while the 2013 IIHS award specifically references the side airbags for the 2013 Elantra, there is so much more safety features included. Listen to this quick video where I highlight the long list of safety benefits available in the Elantra:

There you have it. But stop on by Key Hyundai of Milford or Key Hyundai of Manchester and take a test drive and see for yourself how all that safety looks and rides so great in the Hyundai Elantra. You may be surprised at how much is packed into such a great, affordable vehicle.
