Car buying tips that make financial sense

imagesI recently received an email from my bank with tips for buying a car to make wise money choices – good advice for sure! As the Dealer For The People at Key Hyundai in Connecticut, I’m often leery of car buying tips, but this was smart, informed, unbiased information that I just have to share!

Deciding whether to a buy new or used car can make a smart financial sense depending on your own individual situation. Everyone’s finances, transportation needs, commuter, work, school, family responsibilities are different, and you must do what’s right for you.

Do your homework, and don’t be afraid to ask questions! Solution providers at Key Hyundai are happy to help you through the process and give you the information to make a decision that makes sense for you. Write me at jillcares@keycars.com with any questions about buying or financing your vehicle!

Look what Connecticut Hyundai customers did!

imgresThanks to new and used car customers at Key Hyundai of Milford and Key Hyundai of Manchester, we were able to make an extraordinary donation to help eradicate pediatric cancer. Lofty goals, but with your help, we are making progress – here’s how I know.

Hope on Wheels is Hyundai’s single charitable focus, providing research grants for pediatric cancer, funded by customers just like you.

At Key Hyundai, and for every Hyundai sold, Hyundai donates a percentage to a cancer research center in our community. I’m so pleased to announce the results from Key Hyundai of Milford 2014, and the role Key Hyundai played in contributing to this amazing charity.

Take a listen to learn how much Key Hyundai has donated thus far, knowing there is more to come. Here is my Nicer, Newer News video saying thank you!

Thank you for helping make a difference, for investing in Hyundai Hope on Wheels, and being part of a greater purpose. I am forever grateful for your trust and support!

Should you put money down when buying a car?

tax-refundDown payment or no down payment? A big-time car buying question.

When you’re buying a new or used car at Connecticut Key Hyundai or any new or used car dealership, should you make a down payment on the car if you have the cash, or go for the “no money down option”?

At Key Hyundai, and many new and used car dealerships around Connecticut offer a low or no money down option for people looking to buy a car. When should you, and when shouldn’t you increase your down payment on a new car? The choice remains yours, but here’s my advice after helping thousands of CT car buyers find a car they can afford to drive. Take a quick listen to my Nicer, Newer News video, and let me know what you think:

So as with all financial decisions, much depends on your personal situation. I mean it when I say, free financial advice, no strings attached, is what I do.
