Super Bowl is Here

I found this post on Motortrends blog. It lays out Hyundai’s plans for the Superbowl commercials. We were all disappointed last year when they solely ran Genesis commercials and we didn’t even have the car yet. But, Hyundai seems to have redeemed itself. This commercial lineup seems much better. I am particuarly excited to see the Genesis Coupe commercial. Word on the street is that we should have one in the showroom of Key Hyundai of Manchester in a month or so. Hyundai has rolled out its full Super Bowl XLIII advertising schedule that includes a sponsorship of the game’s “Kick-Off Show” and five 30-sec. ad spots. In the commercials airing February 1, the automaker will focus on the debut of its all-new Genesis Coupe, the well-received Hyundai Assurance program and it’s awarding of the 2009 North American Car of the Year award for the Genesis sedan.

Three of the 30-sec. bits will air before the game, while two others — one in the second quarter, the other in the third — will be shown during the football action. Drifter Rhys Millen’s highly-anticipated “Epic Lap” commercial will air prior to kickoff and is scored by Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin from rock band Smashing Pumpkins.
