Thanks to you, Key Cars was able to do so much in 2019, with unbelievable support given back to the communities where we live and work: Middletown, Manchester, Milford — and throughout Connecticut.

Passion makes the people

Key Cars of Connecticut employs almost 200 local residents full and part-time, and we really do think they are spectacular contributors. And it’s not just Jill Merriam, Dealer For The People at Key Cars of Connecticut who thinks so.

Jill knows full well many, many of the team members at Key Chevrolet of Middletown, Key Hyundai of Milford, and Key Hyundai of Manchester are superb at their jobs.

But recently, she got to see them in action. Take a minute and learn about three very different Key Cars employees, who all have one unique trait in common.

Why automotive service advisors are unsung heroes

Service advisors – the people you see or talk to at Key Cars of Connecticut or any car dealership when making an appointment or describing what is going on with your vehicle.

These are the people who after consulting with the customer, then schedule an appointment with the actual service technicians (aka mechanics) who work on the actual vehicle to fix whatever is broken.

These amazing, patient solution providers work personally with customers to determine problems with a vehicle and provide technicians with accurate repair descriptions.

Tough work and we think these employees are the unsung heroes in the industry, often going above and beyond in sometimes difficult situations.

Jill Merriam, Dealer For The People at Key Cars, knows service advisors are certainly unsung heroes, and today she needs to sing loud and proud about one specific employee, Dustin Maynard. What makes him so special?

At Key Hyundai of Manchester, Key Hyundai of Milford, and Key Chevrolet of Middletown, much of our beloved employee team are millennials, so Jill knows how false these statements are. When she hears people bemoaning millennials, she just rolls her eyes and says hogwash!
