Does it matter where products are made?

July 7, 2014

Recently, when discussing my job as the Dealer For The People at Key Hyundai, I had a great conversation about whether it matters where products – from cars to sneakers – are made.

At Key Hyundai, Connecticut’s new and used car dealer in Manchester and Milford CT, we see new and used customers that run the gamut with caring and not caring where a car was made, but sure got me thinking:

Does where a product is made matter?

Sometimes such a question is generational, but more and more people are taking a vested interest in buying from certain countries, and not buying from others. The reasons may vary, but the buying power is huge.

It got me to thinking a lot about where things are made, and why it matters.

Here’s my Nicer, Newer News quick, less than 2 minute video, that will get you thinking too!

So, does it matter to you where products are made? Do you have particular attraction to certain geographic locations or aversion to others? Do you have story to tell? I’d love to hear it at jillcares@keycars.com!
