Key Hyundai Announces 2011 Hyundai Sonata is a Contender for North American Car of the Year

September 25, 2010

If the 2011 Hyundai Sonata becomes North American Car of the Year (and I just can’t see why it won’t), it would be great news for Hyundai owners and Hyundai dealers.  I’m Jill Merriam and I’m the owner of Key Hyundai of Manchester, Ct and Key Hyundai of Milford, Ct.  My family has been a Hyundai dealer in Ct since the days of the Hyundai Excel.  Shoot, the Excel put me through college (and then almost bankrupted my family).  We are so happy that Hyundai is finally on a protracted upswing and we are really proud of the merchandise that they are putting forward.  We are grateful that we can represent Hyundai to Ct Hyundai buyers.

So, why would it be great if the 2011 Hyundai Sonata won the 2011 North American Car of the Year award.  Well, the leasing world and leasing prices are all controlled by residual values.  A residual value is what a car is worth at the end of the lease.  These residual values are set by a company called ALG.  The reality is, the more awards the 2011 Hyundai Sonata wins, the more likely ALG is to raise the residual value on the 2011 Hyundai Sonata essentially lowering the lease payments we can offer.   To learn more about the 2011 Hyundai Sonata, check out this press release I just wrote at http://www.prlog.org/10954856

I’m curious what you think of the 2011 Hyundai Soanta.  Have you seen the car?  Do you like it?  Is there another new car that’s out this year that you like better?
