We got our first Elantra Touring…

March 9, 2009

I pulled in this morning to see our first Elantra Touring sitting front and center.  Hyundai delivered it to us over the weekend.  By about 10am, we already had  our first official test drive logged.  It’s a great looking car and perfect for anyone looking for the space of an SUV without the size.  And, the gas mileage is great.

The US Government rates the Elantra Touring for 30 mpg on the highway.  Our experience with the Elantra SE is that you get a bit better gas mileage on the highway than the government lists.

My husband Rob and I owned an Elantra Wagon in 1999, a few years before I got involved in the car business.  I loved that car!  We lived in Seattle at the time and it took all the abuse that those hilly roads and bad weather handed out.  We never had a problem with it.   I think the Elantra Touring is the perfect vehicle for our Connecticut roads.

If you are interested in seeing it, do hesitate to call or email me at jillmerriam@driveworryfree.com  As always, I can found at Key Hyundai of Manchester, CT’s Hyundai dealer.  You can visit us on the web at www.driveworryfree.com or visit our showroom,  less than 10 miles from Hartford.

Here is the link to the Hyundai website with more details on the car:

Hybrid cars are definitly the wave of the future. I think it is awesome too. Hyundai has done a lot with what they call “Blue” tecnologies to enhance the technology in their vehilces. I wonder if every brand will come out with a hybrid?
